3 Planners that will Change Your Year

The start of the new year is around the corner, which means one thing. It’s time to get organized. While I love apps and the way they make my job and life more efficient, when it comes to growing my business, setting goals, and getting things done, I’m more of a pencil and paper kind of girl. These planners are some of my top picks for organizing life as a creative, creating editorial calendars, writing business plans, and marking things off your to-do list. I’ve used them all and couldn’t recommend them more.

3-planners

01: The Get To Work Book

For any person who needs a firm grasp on project management and loves excellent design to help you out, The Get to Work Book can’t be beat for the creative entrepreneur. With monthly pages that double as typographic prints, graph paper for note taking, and my favorite- the project planning pages, this was my pick for a planner this year. I’m excited to get messy with this planner and start using it. I’ve been following their instagram account for a while and have been amazed at the creative ways people are making their planners their own. With a few big projects coming down the pipeline at the start of the year, I’ve started filling out project pages already.

02: The Day Designer

I’ve used The Day Designer for two years going strong. This is a great planner for developing goals surrounding all spheres of your life. The front of the planner is different from others in that it helps you develop your vision and brand for the year. Exploring the why behind your goals and setting goals with intention is something I’m a firm believer in. It’s great to say that you’re going to lose weight, start a side business, or organize your life. However, if you don’t discover why you want to do new things, you’ll never set goals you will achieve or keep up with long-term. If you wonder why you’re in a rut, stuck, or can’t set good goals, use The Day Designer to guide you through this process.

03: Moleskine Planner

If you’re looking for something classic and simple, Moleskine Planner is the perfect go-to. With a hard cover, minimal styling, and timeless design, this planner is great for someone who loves an additional page to take notes on throughout the week. Each weekly view has a corresponding blank page. If you find yourself constantly in planning and strategizing meetings, this planner is the one for you.

How do you get organized for the new year? What is your favorite planner to use? Are you an app or pencil and paper person?
