The Dude Gift Guide

Shopping for the men in your life somehow feels notoriously hard. I don’t know if it’s the classic styles that persist for men from year to year, or it’s simply that I’m not yet married, but shopping for gents seems to always be a challenge. This year, I’m focusing on quality items and few things that are a bit unexpected for the guy in your life. Whether he’s a chef, a creative, or simply just loves spending time outdoors, we’ve built this gift guide for any guy in your life.

Some of our favorites

1. Flint and Tinder Waxed Parka

Perfect for all weather, this American made jacket will do the trick, whether on a night out, adventures, or working in the yard. With a waxed coating, it repels water. In a deep, subtle green it functions as a neutral and pairs well with a variety of clothing.

2. Bodie mug

For the coffee lover, these mugs will add a handcrafted touch to his morning. We suggest getting a his and hers set for slow weekend mornings.

3. Flint and Tinder Flannel Lined Trucker Jacket

Another favorite from Flint and Tinder, this jacket offers a trucker style and sensibility while staying warm with it’s flannel lining. It’s the perfect pick for winter weather and playing in the snow.

4. Stetson Hat

For the days where doing his hair doesn’t feel like an option, offer a favorite hat instead. This hat offers a classic style from Stetson and looks great paired with a variety of looks from suiting to a casual look of denim, lace up leather shoes, and a long coat in the winter months. With smart details of leather contrast trim, it’s timeless and showcases effortless style.

5. Framed print for his office

An amazing gift for your significant other, we love these simple framed prints from Artifact Uprising. Paired with a beautiful photo of yourself, it offers a touch of kindness and intentionality for his desk or office.

6. Fellow Pour Over Kettle

Whether he loves coffee or tea, this pour over kettle is one of my all-time favorites. With a counter weight in the handle, it makes pour overs so simple and easy. After using a few kettles in my coffee set up, this beautifully designed kettle is fashioned from Fellow in San Francisco and is equally stunning as it is functional.

For his stocking:
Hand warmers

Whether he’s hiking in all seasons, going on adventures, or simply heading to the game, these hand warmers will keep him toasty throughout the weather. (We love them for shooting adventures in the cold weather. Lots of photo session have been happening outside lately.)

Smartwool socks

An all time favorite. With additional cushioning and thickness of wool, with the sensibility of machine washing these are the perfect socks for warmth all season long. For days in, they function as the most comfortable socks. When hitting the trail, they perfectly slide into hiking boots for all day comfort.

Locally roasted coffee

When it comes to a stocking stuffer, if your guy loves coffee, there’s nothing better than a favorite whole bean bagged brew. For this year, I chose a few friends of mine, from my hometown and doing amazing things in Redding. Do yourself a favor and grab a bag of this delicious Columbia Huila coffee.

Delicious chocolate

There’s nothing better than a delicious bar of handcrafted chocolate. This one is a favorite from a San Francisco shop in the Mission district. If you can make the trip, their shop tour is amazing, boasting stunning bean to bar chocolate. If not you can order some of our favorites here.

Beard Tonic

It’s time to tame the scruff and beards that come around this time of year. Preventing ingrown hairs and conditioning skin, there’s nothing better than this beard tonic from Herbivore.

With a slim profile, this custom leather wallet is perfect for pockets without being overly hefty in weight. We love the classic cognac color and think it’s perfect for any modern gent.
