Headed Home

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.” -John Muir

I love this quote from John Muir. After spending most of the week in the Yosemite Valley and Sequoias, I must admit I feel the same as he did. There is something about the grandeur of this space and the adventures that ensue, where my cares fall away and even while hiking 15 miles, I couldn’t feel happier. With views of waterfalls, El Capitan, and Half Dome, I know I will be returning here very soon.

However all good things come to an end. This weekend, I find myself headed home. After tracking over 7,000 miles on the road this month, I’m ready for my bed and to be at home for a while. I’ve loved the adventures traveling has bought, but will enjoy being back in Redding. The month has been amazing, full of late night, thought-provoking discussions, breakthrough, and clarity. It has brought inspiration to why I do what I do, why I love design and beauty, and more focus to what I publish here on the blog. Expect a few more posts on this in the next week!

Happy weekend friends!
