This Weekend

Happy Friday everyone!

With the week has come longer evenings, cooler temperatures, and a forecast of snow. (In Redding, this is a rare occurrence and is super exciting!) The weekend will be full of celebrations, parties, and late night movie runs. Next week, I’m traveling to Seattle to celebrate with family and meet our newest little edition. The holidays are in full swing and we love it. Today looks like a day of prepping, planning, and trying to get ahead. This weekend’s highlight will be my first Friendsgiving to host in Redding. I absolutely love Friendsgiving and the community I get to share it with. Sometimes, I opt to keep things a bit simple when hosting, but this year many of our guests are Aussie’s experiencing their first Thanksgiving.  We will be going all out and keeping things nostalgic. Pumpkin pie, brined turkey, with all the trimmings are in order.

Here are a few things I’ve been loving on the Internet lately:

Speaking of Friendsgiving, this post from Free People is the perfect last minute invite to any Thanksgiving dinner. I love this little note of intentionality and spreading some cheer through some happy mail. Yesterday, I made ten of these in an hour flat.

Are you making the turkey this year? This roasted turkey recipe from the Yellow Table is my go-to and comes out perfectly every time. The best part? It only has a 3 hour cooking time. Consider your turkey done.
