Happy Friday everyone!
You’ve made it through your first week of 2016. I feel like a congratulations and dance party is in order. This week around here as been a bit more relaxed as I ease back into a full schedule of school. Coming home has been a welcome sight, full of home cooked meals, and nights spent under cozy blankets. This weekend will be a great one! Tuesday is my 28th birthday, so I’m planning on going on a few adventures to celebrate with friends. Also on the list, making meals ahead, plowing through a stack of work, and refreshing and organizing some common spaces. (Did I mention our Christmas tree is still up? It’s coming down this weekend. We decided we were going with the theme of Epiphany, giving us good excuse.)

It’s the new year, which means it’s time to drink to our health. Literally. I love this smoothie for the addition of the blood orange. A great way to use seasonal citrus.
Looking for a way to spice up your salads? This one with spice and toasted chickpeas looks amazing and is headed to my lunch box.
Need a good laugh? This video of grannies tasting Fireball has been a favorite in our house this week.
