Christmas Morning Brunch

There’s something about Christmas morning as a kid. For our family, it always meant staying up late in the living room, having a sleepover with cousins, and waking up incredibly early to stare at our presents long before our parents were awake. I will always look back upon our Christmas mornings with fondness. As an adult, how does Christmas morning hold the same place? With that in mind, I decided to host a Christmas morning brunch with the rest of my housemates. It was a great memory for my first holiday season in California and one I strongly encourage hosting yourself. This could even become an annual tradition among you and some of your close friends.

The Menu

Crustless quiche lorraine (from the Yellow Table and go buy her cookbook. It’s worth every penny!)

Cinnamon rolls with maple icing (click here for recipe)

Pomegranate mimosas (click here for recipe)

Homemade White Peppermint Mocha (click here for recipe)

 The Table

Our table felt cozy and rustic, complete with plaid and pine. To update this look, I used Instagram place cards for a modern touch.

The Gifts

We opted to do a secret santa for everyone in the house. And can I just say-my housemates are excellent gift givers! They know how to speak to a girl’s heart just by giving thoughtful gifts.

The Rest of the Day

Our day was spent watching Christmas movies, lounging around in our PJ’s, toasting to everything that will happen the next year, and curling up underneath a blanket.

How do you do brunch?
