This weekend I find myself on more adventures and back home for a few quick moments. I’ll have a friend from back east flying in and we’ll be headed to explore some national parks in Central California. Last week was full of work, memories with family, and exploring the Los Angeles area (top spots coming soon!). I thought I’d share this image from the Santa Monica pier earlier this week.
There was something about the simplicity of the boardwalk, enjoying the waves and the ocean breeze blowing through my hair, and soaking up the sunshine. From where I stand Southern California is full of beauty and grace, moments I didn’t expect, and beauty and inspiration that surprised me. It is a place I have missed and feels incredibly carefree. Times spent running along the bike path have reminded me of the beauty of people, the incredible nature of our quirks, and enjoying the simple life.
