Hello Fall: 8 Bags for Every Occasion

With the start of September comes all things fall. I, for one, could not be more excited about it. It brings all things pumpkin, scarves, my favorite jacket, layering clothes, and going back to school. Confession. Every year, I always scour to find the perfect bag. Last year, I purchased one and it has been used daily. (This Madewell tote is one of my daily essentials.) This year, my camera and laptop bag is in dire need of replacement. In honor of this and heading back to school next week, I’m saying hello to fall with a roundup of 8 bags, 4 for him and 4 for her.

Keep reading my picks after the jump!

bags for fall

For the creative: This bag from Ona is one that has been on my list for a while. It holds up to a 15 inch laptop, my camera, and two lenses. Perfect for creating on the go, it has leather straps for durability and a waxed cotton material that’s weather resistant, holding up to daily wear and tear.

For weekends away: I absolutely love Hershel Supply company. At the moment I have one bag and one storage pouch from them. Based on sailor tailoring and design, their bags have minimal storage compartments, keeping hauling capacity high. (Perfect for when I overpack.) I love this bag for long weekends away, whether heading to the coast or down to the Bay Area. I’ve been loving on the merlot and burgundy colors over the past few seasons. This duffel meets that requirement with a color that’s on point.

For nights out: With fall, comes new trends, shapes, and colors. This season suede is coming back in full force. Last year the bucket bag returned and is returning for the season. I love this combination of black and brown, suede and leather. It’s smart and incredibly chic, making the perfect statement piece for nights out.

For school days: A leather tote is the perfect investment piece for school days. Holding lunch, books, notebooks, and my water bottle. This guy will hold up to the daily wear and tear. I can’t recommend this bag enough. Do yourself a favor and go buy this one.

For Him:

The Daily Commute: Smart and with the classic details for any gentleman, this bag is made of heavy materials and great for the daily commute. With room for a laptop and additional storage, it holds everything you need going to and from the office.

Rugged Adventures: With similar features as the weekend bag I chose for the ladies, this bag has similar finishings, but with a rich blue color. (Be watching for twilight blue this fall. It is a statement color and will be rolling out everywhere.)

Going into the Woods: With styling based on French ski packs, this backpack has vintage style details and is perfect for any outdoor hiking adventure. I love the green color for something a bit different.

All Things Tech: Minimal, modern, and sleek, this bag is great for the guy who likes to keep things neutral. Using military grade fabrics and design, it holds everything you need for daily use or for rough terrain adventures might bring. A huge plus. It’s waterproof.
