What to Wear: Woodsy Mountain Wedding

Last Sunday I had the privilege of attending my first wedding of friends in NorCal. I have a feeling it will be just the beginning of the weddings as I live here. This wedding was held at the foot of Mt. Shasta. With a beautiful drive and headed to higher elevation, this look was bit more laid back than most weddings I would attend, but still was suitable for the occasion.

This fall moody florals have made a strong comeback. I chose this dress for it’s blush color florals and smart details. With cloth buttons, leather trim, and thin crepe high low hem on the skirt, it made the look special and easy to walk on uneven terrain. (Tip if you’re going to a wedding in the woods always opt for wedges or a stacked heel. It makes walking so much easier.)

I completed this look with a berry lip, gray Warby parkers, and a minimal necklace with a large quartz stone.

As the night went on, we headed to the reception. With giant jenga, cornhole, and a bonfire, I was thankful I had brought an additional layer as the sun set over the mountains. Keeping the palette of the look soft, I added an ivory sweater coat with fringe details in a taupe color.
