I literally can’t believe that it’s almost here. I’ve waited, (budgeted), and then waited some more. There’s nothing like spring in Paris and we’re 3 days out from our trip. But how to pack?? I knew we would be exploring the city, heading to Versailles, and enjoying a bit of fine dining while there as well. My closet had to go from elevated to street style quickly. That and the additional challenge. As I’ll be busing to and from the airport to various spots in the city, I quickly knew that I wanted everything to fit within one one carry on and backpack.

Editorial Looks.

First of all, the editorial looks (because let’s be real, it’s Paris). I’ve been sourcing looks from both Sezane and local boutiques for the trip. I’ve pulled a few dresses with prints that can be paired with neutrals. One of my favorite pieces is a stunning linen blouse with wooden buttons from Sezane. Another piece I picked up from their spring collection is a beautiful midi silk polka dot dress. It’s flowy, fitted in all the right places, and has stunning finishing. Paired with a perfect strapped day heel, looks are quickly elevated while providing all day comfort for exploring the city. I’ve also picked up simple vertical striped midi dress from Lulu’s in the sweetest 70’s inspired palette.

Basics.

Chambray button down from Everlane
Perfect for layering, it is a great shirt to stay warm and then tie around your waist when walking around the city during the day.

2 Pairs of Jeans
The authentic stretch jean is my jam. With stretch that has just enough give, it’s perfect for adventuring and dressing from day to night. In my bag, I have both a pair of black and distressed stonewash.

Cotton Linen Sweater
A favorite sweater in a loosely woven spring knit. Worn with leather mules and a distressed jean, it remains warm and put together while being ridiculously comfortable.

Gray Sweatshirt
With a simple crew neck and french terry interior, this basic is one we love. We’ll use it both on the plane, hand wash it in the hotel, and layer it over our striped midi dress paired with white canvas sneakers for the perfect street style look.

White Raglan Tee
The perfect white tee. I promise. If you’ve never tried Everlane before, make sure to get this tee. Coming in at a beyond affordable price point, it’s a great way to begin sourcing your wardrobe with ethical pieces.

Backpack
This backpack has gone with me to Estonia, Australia, and is now headed to France. Holding a camera, iPad, laptop, and extra tees for the flight, it’s perfect for traveling solo without screaming, “I have a laptop inside me.”

Luggage

This carryon is everything. At 21 inches, it contains both a garment bag, USB power cord, and quick change pocket.
